King’s Trust USA (KTUSA) supports young people across the United States to build the confidence, skills and pathways they need to succeed, while raising funds to advance The King’s Trust’s global mission.
For more than 50 years, The King’s Trust has helped over 1.5 million young people worldwide create brighter futures.
Driven by Purpose
Established in 2019, KTUSA began as a fundraising organization and expanded into program delivery in 2023. Through our Employability and Enterprise programs, we support young people aged 11 to 30 from underserved communities, helping them develop skills, explore entrepreneurship and access opportunities for work and life.
Working with trusted local partners, schools and employers, we are creating pathways to education, employment and enterprise for young people across the US.
Our Employability programs help young people build the confidence, skills and experience they need to prepare for work, access opportunities and succeed in their chosen careers. Whether they are exploring their next steps or actively seeking employment, we provide the support to help them move forward.
Our Enterprise programs inspire young people to think creatively, develop entrepreneurial skills and explore self-employment as a pathway to success. Through hands-on learning and mentoring, we equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge, confidence and tools to turn their ideas into action.
A message from His Majesty King Charles III
[Music] thank you in the mid 1970s I think when I left the Royal Navy unemployment in the United Kingdom was was one of the pressing issues of the time for young people the problem as always was not merely the lack of opportunity represented by joblessness but the feeling uh that they were being left behind and and it seemed as clear to me then as it does now that we should do something to try to make a difference however small by helping young people to find work or training we hope that perhaps we would be able to change some individuals lives for the better thankfully the reputation of my trust had gradually reached many leaders overseas from Greece to Ghana and part of the reason for for that perhaps is that some of the young people we’ve helped over the years have become household names people like Idris Elba Dynamo and David oriolo who who came to us as teenagers for help to start their careers and then we have Business Leaders like Charlotte mensah whose hairdressing business we helped start 30 years ago in addition there are all the amazing performers who have helped the trust such as Beyonce Lionel Richie amuse [Music] thank you and please say that my princess trust is operating in 18 countries 15 of them are in the Commonwealth over the years that my trust has done a lot I think to bring attention to the amazing achievements of young people when given the right training and the right opportunities so we will continue to help young people to understand the immeasurable difference they can make to society when they achieve their goals and we’ll go on being there to help them as there is still a great deal to do [Music] [Applause] foreign

Founded by His Majesty King Charles III in 1976, when he was The Prince of Wales, The King’s Trust was created to help young people facing unemployment and limited opportunities.
