Program Overview
Leadership & Engagement Fellows are a select community of early- to mid-career professionals who share a commitment to King’s Trust USA’s mission: helping young people build better futures for themselves. Fellows give their time, networks, and leadership to strengthen our work — and in return, they gain mentorship, meaningful experiences, and a values-aligned community of peers and senior leaders.
Formerly known as Future Leaders, the program has grown into a cornerstone of how King’s Trust USA engages the next generation of supporters, advocates, and board members.
Our Vision
To build a vibrant pipeline of young changemakers who create real impact for youth through King’s Trust USA — today as Fellows, and tomorrow as donors, advisors, and board leaders.
Why Join
Fellows join because they want to do more than write a check. They want hands-on involvement, visible impact, and a community of peers who share their values. Through the program, members:
- Make tangible impact alongside King’s Trust USA programs and young people.
- Grow as leaders through mentorship, workshops, and meaningful experiences.
- Connect with peers and senior leaders across industries in a curated network.
- Build a pathway into deeper engagement with The King’s Trust — from event host committees to Advisory Board and beyond.
What Fellows Receive
Mentorship
One-on-one pairing with a King’s Trust USA Board or Advisory leader, with structured touchpoints throughout the year.
Access & Visibility
Invitations to King’s Trust USA events and select The King’s Trust Group moments worldwide, recognition across newsletters and social channels, and the chance to host or co-host activations of your own.
Community
Curated peer gatherings, Fellow-only receptions, and an ongoing network of like-minded young professionals across industries and cities.
A Clear Pathway
Fellows follow a clear ladder of engagement — from event host committees to Advisory Board candidacy — with opportunities to grow into leadership roles over time.
What Fellows Do
Every Fellow contributes in the ways that best fit their interests, networks, and time. Typical engagement includes:
- Volunteering day-of at flagship moments like the Enterprise Challenge, Get Hired, NYC Marathon, and the Annual Celebration.
- Fundraising through peer-to-peer campaigns, small host events, workplace matches, or signature moments like the marathon.
- Mentoring and being mentored — supporting The King’s Trust youth during program activations, and learning from senior leaders within the network.
- Advocating for King’s Trust USA across their professional and personal networks.
- Recruiting the next wave of Fellows from within their own circles.
Commitment
Fellows commit to a minimum annual give/get of $500 ($250 joining fee plus $250 or more raised), participate in at least one King’s Trust USA activation per year, and engage in two mentor touchpoints annually. Many Fellows exceed this baseline significantly.
