Before the event, young people attend an Empowerment Day to prepare for job applications, interviews, and workplace expectations. King’s Trust USA and delivery partner staff work together to ensure candidates are job-ready and provide post-placement support to both employees and employers, ensuring long-term success.
Get Hired Details
Designed for job-ready young people aged 18 to 30 who face barriers to securing employment through traditional recruitment.
Connects participants directly with employers hiring for open roles within their organizations.
Employers submit job descriptions in advance, which are compiled into a job pack for attendees.
Employers deliver a brief pitch highlighting their organization, workplace culture, and available roles.
Participants select up to three employers they wish to interview with based on the available opportunities.
Focuses on interpersonal skills, potential, and attitude rather than solely on qualifications and experience, helping reduce barriers to employment.
Helps employers diversify their workforce by connecting them with a broader talent pool.
Provides employers with ongoing support from King’s Trust USA and its partners to help address challenges young employees may face after hiring.
Development Awards
Successful candidates receive a $500 Development Award to ease their transition into work, covering expenses like travel, work attire, or a laptop for remote work.
